The Best Little Bookshop in Town
We stumbled upon a quaint little book store in Sydney’s Sutherland Shire the other day, named ” The Best little Book shop in Town”. Situated opposite the Cronulla train station, this funky outlet sells second hand books at good prices and is situated close to convenient cafes and snazzy places to eat. We found it great to buy a Magic Eye book ( you know those stereograms?) and walk up the road to Gloria Jeans to sit down and amuse ourselves trying to see things that aren’t really there.
This Book Store is also kind enough to offer a selection of Free Books in a Basket to attract even the most skeptical passers by. We picked up a very old book from 1964 describing the life of the Mayan Civilisation and enjoyed our short stay on such a gloomy winter’s day.
They have a website, but we are not sure if it is fully operational just yet. Visit www.bestlittlebookshopintown.com.au for more information. Next time any of you visit Cronulla, or Sydney for that matter, be sure to visit The Best Little Book Shop in Town, it was a great way to kill some spare time in our busy day;)

Sex Books aimed at Kids? Ouch.
A controversial new book has been released which attempts to teach young children all the ins and outs of lesbian mothers who are falling pregnant via sperm donors. The book is titled “Where Did I Really Come From?” and portrays two gay men holding a baby whilst attempting to explain surrogacy. Angry families have stepped up and have made controversial claims that such a book is targeted at kids that are way too young to be reading this type of material.
Apparently the book is being pitched as a new way of educating kids that a baby can be conceived in many ways and not only via the more ‘traditional’ means. We are not sure if this book was funded by the state government but the introduction of this title has seen a mixed emotional response from publishers and readers alike.
